Building Futures at CREMER North America

At CREMER North America, we know that our greatest strength is our people. When employees are given the chance to grow, explore new opportunities, and take on new challenges, they strengthen not only their own careers but also the future of our company.

Through CREMER’s internal hiring process, current employees are always encouraged to explore open roles across departments. Job postings are shared internally, ensuring that everyone has visibility into new opportunities and is welcome to apply. Internal mobility and career development are part of who we are, and the best proof of that comes from the experiences of our employees.

There have been several team members who have taken on new roles, showing how opportunity at CREMER can take many forms. Their stories highlight what’s possible when motivation, support, and ambition meet a culture that values growth.

DreDon Thompson, IT Operations Administrator

Taking on something completely new is never easy, but at CREMER employees have the support to make bold moves. That is what happened for DreDon Thompson, who began in the South Terminal Laboratory before transitioning into IT. After nearly a decade of IT experience prior to joining CREMER, he saw the opening as a chance to challenge himself in a new way and bring his skills back into focus.

The change came with higher expectations and a steep learning curve. Shifting from the lab into IT meant moving from a familiar environment to one where his coworkers suddenly depended on him for urgent solutions. “I was really uncomfortable at first, especially when I couldn’t help my coworkers right away,” DreDon admitted. “But the team supported me and helped me get familiar with our systems.” With that support, he adjusted quickly and began building confidence in his role.

Now, DreDon views his work in a broader context. “In the lab you are focused on CREMER North America. In IT, you are exposed to the globe and our holdings company.” Looking back, he sums it up simply: “Take a risk. Even if you do not get the position, always try something.” For him, taking that next step was challenging, but it proved to be the key to long-term growth at CREMER.

Gloria Romeiro, Supply Chain Support Specialist

For Gloria Romeiro, growth came from saying yes to new experiences. She joined as an administrative assistant in Bottling, but her responsibilities quickly extended to Corporate and South Terminal, where she contributed to projects ranging from Continuous Improvement to executive planning. Those experiences built the foundation for her recent move into Supply Chain.

“This role came at the perfect time,” Gloria said. “It allows me to keep learning, to work with even more departments, and most importantly, to grow, all without having to leave CREMER.”

Her new team’s energy has made the transition even more rewarding. “Everyone has been so welcoming and positive. The energy is contagious. I am excited to come to work every day.” Her journey shows how CREMER opens doors for employees who are ready to explore beyond their starting role.

Brian Greene, Logistics Team Lead

Nineteen years with one company can hold a lot of change, and Brian Greene’s career proves it. He has worked as a Bulk Operator, in Order Management, as a Warehouse Supervisor, and in Supply Chain before moving into his current role as Logistics Team Lead.

“I have always wanted to grow with CREMER,” Brian explained. “I’ve had many opportunities to do what’s best for the company as well as grow within it.” That breadth of experience has been invaluable. “The knowledge I have from Bulk, Supply Chain, and the Warehouse has really added huge value. It helps me understand what it takes to keep our customers happy and create efficiency. It also helps the teams I work with to know I understand the entire process.”

Supported by mentors and encouraged by leaders, Brian has developed a big-picture perspective that strengthens both his career and CREMER as a whole. His story highlights how the company values long-term growth and rewards dedication.

Jeremy Crawford, EHS&S Specialist

Moving from the production floor to a specialist role takes confidence and support. After nearly 10 years in production, Jeremy took that step when he became an EHS&S Specialist. His background as a line and machine operator gave him insight into identifying gaps and setting corrective actions in his new position, as well as helping his team avoid potential oversights.

The move was not easy at first. Transitioning from physically demanding work into a role that required more analysis and planning took adjustment. But with encouragement from leaders like Rob Moore and Marcus Johnson, Jeremy found his footing. “Taking that next step can sometimes be scary,” he reflected, “but I can’t thank those guys enough for supporting me.”

Today, he sees his role as both a personal achievement and a reflection of CREMER’s culture. “CREMER has always been a place of opportunity for me personally. I always encourage others to keep pushing for whatever role they want here because you could be the next person the company takes a chance on.” For Jeremy, the company’s recognition of hard work and determination is proof that growth is possible for anyone willing to reach for it.

CREMER’s Commitment to Growth

Together, these stories reflect CREMER’s culture of career development and internal mobility. As Dori Granger, Supply Chain Manager and supervisor to both Gloria and Brian, explained, “The different perspectives and knowledge brought by promoting internal CREMER members is invaluable.” She noted that team members who have worked across different areas bring a deeper understanding of the organization, which strengthens their teams and spreads best practices.  “When an employee had transitioned from our Bottling Plant to South Terminal, they introduced the “What If?” segment to our Supply Chain huddles. This simple idea-generation exercise we still use today and has sparked numerous Quick Kaizens and driven continuous improvement”, Granger added.

These examples make one thing clear: CREMER thrives when its people grow. By encouraging employees to explore new opportunities, supporting their transitions, and celebrating their achievements, the company builds a stronger, more innovative future. Career development is woven into the fabric of who we are, and when our people grow, CREMER grows with them.
